Maybe Steve weighs 78 kilos when he has the gold on him. =PZagrius
Nope.

Is it a short bridge? Maybe he just throws the gold across to the other side.

Eman5805
Nope, rather long bridge. Who would throw gold around anyway? Hint: Steve is a party magician.

Did he leave his gold on the other side of the bridge but tied it to his rope that he carries around, and then dragged it over after he walked over the bridge? O_O

No, he didn't use any additional equipment. And that would be a stupid way to treat KGs of gold :P

He cleverly made the "0" in 80 kgs into an "8" so the sign now read a maximum of 88 kgs?

While your wording makes it unlikely, would it be possible that the magician simply walked around the bridge? Maybe the bridge wasn't actually going over something he could travel over without the bridge?

That doesn't change the bridges capacity, it merely changes the sign.

Hah, it would be possible I suppose. But it's nothing beyond the limits so to say, he somehow walked the bridge and when he got to the other side he had all three gold pieces. No word play, no magic. Remember, he's a party magician. Party magicians generally have quite a few abilities..

Answer to arcelice's riddle. Sorry I can't use spoiler tags, html keeps on getting messed up.

You say the "word form" of the previous.
One 1
Two 1s
One 2, One 1....etc.

Well, if he was an anime magician he could use all sorts of "party tricks" that are actually magic and make no sense in the real world. But I don't see how illusions and slight of hand can fool physics...

Party magician, don't focus too much on the word "magician". They generally have quite a few abilities as I said, if they could do hand stands to enhance their trick in some way, they probably know how to do it. Think of an entertainer instead, maybe makes it easier.

Your very stupid idea is very correct though ;) Yep, Steve knows how to juggle. One of the gold pieces is always in the air, hence he will weight 80 kg while walking the bridge. Good job! It a hard one. A man was found murdered one Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and was given these alibis: The Wife said she was in bed reading a book. The Cook claimed she cooking breakfast. The Gardener claimed he was planting seeds. The Maid claimed she was getting the mail. The Butler claimed he polishing the silver. The police instantly arrested the murderer. Who did it and how did they know?

I'm not sure if that would really work in real life though... Notice that if you drop something on a scale, it'll seem to weigh more than it really does for a moment.

I'll assume this was in a mainly Christian country and go with the maid since the mail wouldn't be arriving on a Sunday?

I thought this one would last for longer than a mere minute! You nailed it, it's a Sunday.. no mail, the maid was lying. She is the murderer. Good job again. Does Islam allow a man to marry his widow's sister?

Yep, maid answers are correct as I said :P Another one. Late one evening, a man and a his wife were driving their car at speed down a country road. The car spun of the road and hit a tree. The man decided to seek help at a garage a few miles away. He made sure nobody was in the car, rolled all the windows up, and locked all of the doors. When he returned, his wife was dead, and there someone in the car he had never seen before. No physical damage was done to the car, it was still locked? How did the woman die? Where did the stranger come from?

As the car hit a tree it's obviously roughed up. But windows/doors etc were not damaged. It would have been impossible to get into the car without breaking in.

Yes! The wife died in child birth, the stranger is of course the baby! New one: --------------------- A horse is tied to a 15 ft. rope and there is a bail of hay 25 ft. away from him. Yet the horse is able to eat from the bail of hay. How is this possible?

YES I GOT ONE!

two people order the same drink. Ones a business man so he drinks it fast and gets outa there. the other is a person who has time to drink it. He relaxes a little and drinks his drink. The next day, the one who drank it slowly dies.

easy i think.

New one: --------------------- A horse is tied to a 15 ft. rope and there is a bail of hay 25 ft. away from him. Yet the horse is able to eat from the bail of hay. How is this possible?Vfanek

The rope isn't tied to anything.

Yep! Two police offers were investigating a mysterious death. When they arrived at the scene of the crime they found a room with no windows and the dead man who seemed to have hung himself by a rope from the ceiling. There was no chair or table that the man may have jumped off. The only clue was a puddle of water on the floor. How did the man manage to hang himself.

the horse is standing 25 feet from the hay stack but he can still rotate around.

well i dont know how to explain it but the horse is tied to 15 feet of rope. the rope holder is the center of a circle. diameter is 30 feet. so the horse may be 25 ft from the hay but the hay is within the circle?

EDIT. NVm answer posted while i was typing or i didnt know it was :P

he used a block of ice to get on the rope, the ice melted by the time the police arrived.

there are 5 apples in a basket. How would you divide them so that each kid gets one but only on apple stays in the basket.
